Ms. Krina Patel began her educational journey at the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor’s in Education. She taught 3rd grade in Charleston, SC for the first 5 years of her career, while obtaining her Master’s in Education Administration from Charleston Southern University and becoming National Board Certified. She later transitioned to Cabarrus County Schools where she has served as an elementary school teacher, middle and high school assistant principal, and elementary principal. She strives to work together in shaping the lives, hearts, and minds of our remarkable students and is thrilled to serve our community!

Mrs. Chelsey Vesey has served as an Assistant Principal at Hickory Ridge Elementary since October 2023. She has been a public educator in Cabarrus County Schools since 2011. Mrs. Vesey spent most of her career serving the Wolf Meadow Elementary community as a classroom teacher (2nd and 3rd grade), lead teacher, and school administrator. She received a bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a minor in Sociology and a master’s in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Go Niners! She completed her administrative internship at Concord Middle in 2017.

Outside of school, Mrs. Vesey enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, fur babies, and extended family. Raised in Raleigh, NC, she is an avid Duke Blue Devil fan. She can often be found spending time with friends, reading a book, or relaxing at a beach, lake, or pool. She looks forward to spending this school year and the future serving alongside the community as a passionate member of The Ridge!

Mrs. Racine Kilpatrick is delighted to be a part of the amazing Hickory Ridge Elementary community as an Assistant Principal. She was an Instructional Leader in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for eight years and started her educational career as an elementary classroom teacher in 2005. She received a bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a minor in English from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her master’s in Reading as well as School Administration from Gardner-Webb University.

When not at school, Mrs. Kilpatrick enjoys spending time with her husband, teenage daughter, teenage son, and their two dogs. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, she loves a good slice of New York cheesecake or pizza! She can be found spending time in her garden, reading, or writing, as she is an avid writer. She looks forward to spending this school year and future years among the Harrisburg Community at the Ridge.
