📢 Read & Raise Weekly Challenge Update! 📢

🎉 A huge congratulations to Mrs. Maharaj’s 2nd grade class for being last week’s top fundraising class! 🥳 Thanks to their amazing efforts, they’ve earned an extra recess this week—way to go! 🌟

Now, it’s time for a new challenge! This week, the class that raises the most funds will win a PJ Day! 💤👕 That means your whole class can wear their comfiest pajamas to school—but only if you’re the top fundraising class!


This challenge starts NOW and runs through Saturday, so let’s keep the momentum going! We’re getting closer to our $15,000 goal, and every dollar raised helps support our school! Remember, we have some exciting incentives ahead:
🏁 At $5,000, our admin will race RC cars around the school! 🚗💨
🏆 At $10,000, students will take on the admin in fun challenges like basketball, trivia, and the gross food challenge!
🏫 At $15,000, our admin will spend the day on the roof!

And don’t forget—our top fundraisers will get to choose from awesome prizes like an RC car, mini Sphero robot, a $50 book fair gift card, and more! Plus, the top 150 students will get to attend a Charlotte Hornets Pep Rally, and the top 75 students will visit the Hornets Book Bus for a free book!

We’re thrilled 🤗 to launch our Read & Raise fundraiser, running from February 3rd - 28th! This event is all about celebrating the joy of reading while raising funds to support our school. Our goal is $15,000, and with your help, we can enhance our students' learning experiences!

How to Participate

Why Set a Personal Reading Goal? In the past, students were pledged based on minutes read. However, reading is a personal journey, and everyone is at a different level. To foster a true love of reading, each student will set a goal that is meaningful to them. Their goal could be: 📚 Reading a certain number of books in February ⏳ Reading a set number of minutes 📖 Completing a certain number of chapters The goal is to develop a lifelong passion for reading—not just to track time.

                                                                                                                                                                       

	🎉 School-Wide Incentives: $5,000 Raised: Admin will race RC cars around the school! 🚗💨 $10,000 Raised: The top 4 students in our fundraiser at the moment we reach this goal will challenge the admin in a Student vs. Admin competition! 🏆 We will have four exciting challenges: 🏀 Basketball Showdown – One principal and a student will face off in a basketball challenge! 🧠 Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? – One principal and a student will go head-to-head in a trivia question! 😳 Gross Food Challenge – One admin and a student will have to eat something unexpectedly gross! 🖐️ Mystery Box Challenge – One admin and a student will have to reach into a mystery box and guess what they’re touching! Who will come out on top—students or admin? Let’s hit our goal and find out! 🎉 $15,000 Raised: Admin will spend the day on the roof! 🏫
	Individual Student Incentives 🎁📚 Our top fundraisers will have the chance to choose from these amazing prizes!
