Flyer for the Hickory Ridge Elementary School 2026-2027 Yearbook Cover Contest. The theme is "Growing Greatness Together." The original deadline of September 25 is crossed out and extended to September 30th. Key rules: Draw vertically on 8.5x11 white paper, include school name and year on front, student details on back, and no AI, glitter, or tracing. Submit artwork to Mr. Santomarco in the gym. Dear Families,

Great news! We are extending the deadline for our Yearbook Cover Contest to Wednesday, September 30th.
With tomorrow being a staff work day, students have the upcoming three-day weekend plus two extra school days next week to complete and submit their artwork.

Contest Details & Guidelines

  • Theme: Growing Greatness Together (2026–2027)
  • New Deadline: Wednesday, September 30th
  • Submission Location: Turn in completed entries to the box located in the gym.

Design Requirements:

  • Paper & Orientation: Use plain white 8.5 x 11 paper and draw vertically (portrait orientation), filling the entire page.
  • Required Text on Front: Must include the words "Hickory Ridge Elementary School" and the school year "2026–2027".
  • Student Details: Write the student's Name, Teacher, and Grade Level clearly on the back of the paper (make sure it doesn't show through on the front).
  • Original Work: Artwork (hand-drawn or digitally produced) must be completely original. No parental assistance, tracing, copyrighted material, glitter, or AI-generated content.
  • Pro Tips: Bold colors stand out best! Trace over all pencil lines with a black marker or pen.
